Who decided that cars should be status symbols?
Well I think this happened when along came Mr. Pimp. He decided that you could design a car to look extremely cool. So he put on sunroofs and big stereo systems and heated seats. Everyone else thought these cars looked so cool that you could only be a millionare to have one. So if you had a car like that you were seen as very wealthy.
