Who cuts the grass and maintains the garden?
Sometimes it can be more pragmatic and in the landlord’s own interest to maintain or organise garden maintenance themselves. Tenants cannot always be relied on to cut the grass or keep the garden looking tidy. If the landlord wishes the tenant to maintain they should provide the tools to do so. Unfortunately much of the time if it is a large garden an electric mower is provided which usually is inadequate or useless if the grass goes a little too long. Our advice is to be realistic and judge it on the type of tenant that rents your property, whether they are single professionals sharing or a family with children.
