In any community there are probably several activities per year in which your distributorship could get involved. It is up to you to check with various organizations and government agencies in your area to find out what’s happening and how you can get involved. The following are some places to call for information on community events: Associations: Local chapters of national organizations usually participate in community-oriented functions that help raise money for the chapters. If your showroom has the space, offer a meeting room for the chapter’s planning meetings. Place an advertisement in their program books. If you use your ingenuity, you should be able to cooperate with the event planners and get lots of visibility. Local Government: The Mayor’s office, Chamber of Commerce and local schools are sure to know what functions are taking place in the community next year. Call them for a calendar of events.
