Who created the Von Diehls and in particular, the character Manfred von Diehl and his play “Strange Flower”?
The Von Diehls were my creation. First appeared in Wolf Riders. Later they started cropping up in other places. Back in the original run of anthologies Neil Jones and I had the idea of making Lothar a long running baddie. He was going to get up to all sorts of things but this never happened. The only surviving relic of that period is the Ultimate Ritual. He might appear yet though, and the clan may make a reappearance too at some point.
