Naoko Takeuchi created Sailor Moon. Kodansha published the manga in Japan. It became an anime cartoon in Japan in 1992 and came to the USA in 1996. Currently Tokyopop in the USA publishes the English version manga. Originally DiC sponsored the anime products, but now Pioneer produces the anime products. Toei Animation animated the series.
