Who created MixMatchMusic and why?
The concept of MixMatchMusic was conceived by three college roommates (Charles Feinn, Derek Prothro, and Alan Khalfin) at UCLA, who wanted to continue to collaborate and make music with friends who had moved to other parts of the world after graduation. Soon, the former roommates realized that they spent a lot of time on social networking sites, downloading music software and mailing Digital Audio Workstation files to far away friends. MixMatchMusic was created to serve the needs of tens of millions of independent and semi-professional musicians like Charles, Alan and Derek, and with the same needs. Its services, technologies and community enable musicians to collaborate on, engage fans with and profit from their music.
