A Liquor License can not be transferred if any of the following reasons exists: If there is any administrative action against the license, if there are any liens or judgments against the license, if there is any unpaid Florida Sales Tax or surcharge owed, if there are any unpaid Beverage Distributors, and if the license is not in good standing (Unpaid renewal fees or administrative action against the license). For these reasons, FBI will only close a transaction with a knowledgeable attorney that will conduct all of the necessary UCC-1 and lien searches with both the state and the Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco.
