Who composes the management that runs the Calbayog Hospital?
Prior to 2003, many of the Adventist hospitals in the Philippines were governed by a collection of various unions and conferences. However, today the Calbayog Sanitarium and Hospital is part of the umbrella network of hospitals governed by the the Adventist Health System/Asia (AHS/A) system. The AHSA has brought in common standards, more managerial inputs, better knowledge of industry practices and challenges and coordinated efforts to help us. AHS/A, a department of the South Asia Pacific Division, is headed by Mr. Don Weidemann. However, the Philippines is divided into three zones, and Calbayog belonging to the central Philippines, is headed by the Regional Vice President Mr. Rufo Gesapo. Mr. Gesapo is also the President of Bacolod Sanitarium and Hospital and the Chair of the Board of Calbayog Sanitarium and the H.W. Miller Memorial Hospital.
