Who collects garbage in the Village and how do I obtain a recycling bin?
The Village of Rockton contracts a local waste hauler (currently Waste Management) for residential trash pick-up service. Lawn waste is accepted in the biodegradable garbage bags marked with an X or in you garbage can marked with an X from April 15 thru November 15. Curbside recycling bins are available without charge from the Village Clerks office (624-7600). At present, the collection days are Wednesday for all residents except those east of Illinois Route 2. The collection day for those residents is on Tuesday, yard waste on Monday.
