This is not an easy quesiton to answer. Mainly, because of the shear number of countries and testing agencies. First, let’s consider a few other things. Does a manufacturer have to get certified/tested by an agency in their own country? Yes and no. While you do not have to get tested by an agency in your home country, most manufacturers seem to. This is due to many factors including costs, proximity to production facilites and testing laboratories. Plus, it makes common sense to get certified in your home country since you will most likely be selling their too and need to meet local standards! Who are the actual agencies that certify or give marks related to composting toilets? As mentioned, there are lots!
