Who can use the nomadic network?
The nomadic network is available to all members of the University (staff, students, and post grads) who are registered for computing facilities (such as an email address and a personal SGHMS username and password). Visitors to the University such as those on pre-sessional language courses who are registered using the guest username and password scheme are not currently able to use the nomadic network. • Is there a charge for using the service? No, there is no charge for using the nomadic service. • Where can I connect? We have a list of locations where the service is available. NB:You can not simply plug into an unused, unmarked socket, or unplug other equipment in your office or computer room, and connect to nomadic.
