Who can use the library and borrow materials?
The Davenport University Libraries are primarily for the use of Davenport students, faculty, and staff. Alumni are welcome to use the library as well and can use everything on our Web pages except the Online Research Databases. Most of the libraries allow the general public to use their libraries on a walk-in basis. However, they may be asked to leave if they do not respect the rules of the libraries or if they are disruptive to the students, faculty or staff. Students, faculty and staff may borrow up to 10 items in total. Alumni, guests (members of the general public who have applied for a library card) and Michicard holders may borrow up to 3 items in total. You must have a library card or Michicard to borrow items from the Davenport University Libraries and your patron record must be up to date. To get a library card or to update an expired library card, contact your library’s Circulation Desk. How long may I keep the materials I borrow? Can I renew them? The borrowing period for mo
