Who can use electronic bid submission?
If you have a MERX Private Tenders Enterprise Package then you can use the electronic bid submission feature. For more information on the Enterprise Package please see the features section. Any supplier who is registered to MERX can use E-bid submission for opportunities you have posted that specify E-bid submission as an optional or required method of bid submission. The suppliers must however have someone from their organization designated as an Electronic Bid Submission Authorized Signer. An Electronic Bid Submission Authorized Signer is someone within the supplier’s organization who has been selected to legally bind that organization to the terms of the electronic bids submitted by their organization. The authorized signer will have a special PIN issued by MERX which they will use to authorize electronic bid submissions for their organization.
