All principal investigators may access AFI simply by logging into the system using their Johns Hopkins Enterprise Directory (JHED) logname and password. For AFI purposes, the PI for a particular account is identified as the person whose social security number is in the project director field in the CUFS record. In addition to principal investigators, AFI may be accessed by any University employee that has access to the CUFS financial system for specific accounts or areas. These users also log into AFI using their JHED logname and password. After authentication occurs, their CUFS security access is checked and access to AFI is provided for their areas, PIs and accounts.
