Who can use a Deed Poll to change their name?
You can use a Deed Poll to change your name if you are a British citizen and live in the United Kingdom and are over the age of 16. A child or young persons name can be changed by applying for a child Deed Poll, this can only be done by a person with parental responsibility for the child. You will also need consent from everyone with parental responsibility for the child.
