Who Can Take Holy Communion?
The sacrament of Holy Communion is a means of grace, whereby we draw close to God through Christ Jesus by remembering the last supper Jesus had with his followers before going to the cross. In Communion we believe that Christ is with us and in the elements of communion, but they are symbols of body and blood of Christ. All believers are welcomed to the Lord’s table and even children are allowed to take communion since Christ himself said, “do not hinder the children to come to me.” If someone who has not professed Jesus as their savior takes communion it is on the understanding that this person will make their profession soon there after since in it we are claiming the death of Christ as our death to the wages of sin.
