Who can see my medical records maintained in the KP HealthConnect system? What do they have to do to be able to view them?
A Medical personnel within Kaiser Permanente can access a given member’s records in their home region, after those personnel have been screened and cleared to use the system. Access to the system is role-based, meaning medical personnel within KP can see and act on information as appropriate to their role in providing patient care. Non-KP clinicians will be granted the authority to see personal health information of KP members only with that member’s permission and as needed to render health care to those members.
