Who can receive services which are funded through SRS/DBHS?
Eligibility for access to services is determined by CDDO staff using the definitions in state law. Persons must meet the definition of either mental retardation or developmental disability listed there. Denial of eligibility may be appealed to the Office of Administrative Appeals. A copy of the eligibility criteria and appeal process may be obtained from your local CDDO. Achieving eligibility for services does not mean the person is eligible for the various funding sources which pay for DD services. Because of requirements of different funding sources, additional eligibility thresholds may need to be met.
