Who can receive a refurbished PC as a part of the MAR Donation Program?
A. A PC with a donated operating system from the MAR Donation Program can only be distributed to the following types of organizations: 1. Qualifying charity—a “MAR charity”—is a US-based entity described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code except for private foundations (as defined in Section 509 of the IRS Code), and any hospital, health care system or research laboratory. Community clinics designated a Community Health Center Program by the US Department of Health and Human Services are eligible. To qualify, clinics must submit proof that they are currently receiving funds through the Section 330 Public Health Services Act or are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). A MAR charity must provide a copy of their current 501(c)(3) public charity determination letter from the US Department of Treasury as proof of eligibility. 2.
