Who can participate in Awana?
Awana is for all children age 3 through Grade 5. There are three clubs designed to meet the needs of different age groups: Cubbies: Cubbies is a 2 year preschool program for children ages 3-5. Each night is designed around a particular Bible theme. Club time includes story time, crafts, games, songs and handbook time. The handbooks provide Bible memorization and are geared to encourage parental support. Cubbies wear blue vests with accompanying awards. Cubbies also teaches preschool concepts, such as numbers, colors, shapes and letters. Sparks: Sparks is a 3 year program designed for Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades. Sparks includes a fun firefly character named Sparky. Sparky and friends lead the children through the ranks of the Hang Glider, Wing Runner and Sky Stormer while encouraging and motivating clubbers through handbook achievements, games and crafts.
