Who can open a Post Office® Instant Saver account?

An Instant Saver can be opened by anyone aged 11 or over, who is resident or ordinarily resident for tax purposes in the UK, either individually or jointly with one other person. An Instant Saver can also be opened for a child under 16 in the child’s name by an adult representative (parent or legal guardian). For a child under 16 an adult representative must sign the application form to agree that the child is aware of the Terms and Conditions. The adult representative will also be used to verify the address of the minor, but they have no legal claim or right to the child’s funds invested or any right to operate the account. Customers can only hold one account in sole names and one account in joint names.
