Who can make up a short rhyme?
I,m being lazy here Yvonne because I am going to post part of the poem I wrote last week called Insomniac – it’s a bit longer than you asked for: The other half is sound asleep As I resort to counting sheep My brain becomes a spiteful pest Preventing me from getting rest It flickers thoughts into my mind Of all the trivia it can find Followed by a picture show Of people, places I don’t know I toss and turn, it’s half past three Out of bed, I’ll make some tea The other half begins to snore I hate his guts, he’s such a bore Dear God, have mercy please on me And kindly listen to my plea Oh peace at last, the final call In time to greet the morning call
