Who can make an HSA contribution?
Any eligible individual may establish and contribute to an HSA. A person may be self-employed, unemployed, or employed and contribute to an HSA. The IRS has also stated an employer, a family member, or any other person or entity may make contributions to an HSA on behalf of an eligible individual.
