Who can i unblock bathroom shower drains blocked with hair?
Here’s what I do, get an old wire coat hanger and bend the end to straighten out the hook. Then, if you can remove any strainer you have over your drain, use the straightened hanger to hook the hair and pull it out. The hair ball that comes out will be kind of gross, I just throw it in the trash. If you don’t want to or can’t get at the drain, I would suggest using a drian cleaner that is in gel form. That way when you put it down the drain, the gel will cling to the hair and disolve it. You may have to treat it a couple of times, depending on how big a hair ball you have.
Remove as much hair from the plug hole as possible (the crochet hook sounds like a perfect tool for this job). Then tip down the drain a whole packet of washing soda crystals, a litre of vinegar and a litre of boiling water. You might have to do it a few times but it has worked for me in the past and I seem to shed a lot of hair. Then invest is one of those thing you use in the kitchen sink to stop waste material going down the drain.
