No! do not pierce your nose yourself,,,, I’m not going to tell u that it will get infected like anyone else would because anyone’s piercing can get infected whether its professionally done or not,,,,, i would get it don’t by a professional just so you can get the screw in, it is very hard to put it in if you haven’t done so before and most likely u will not be able to get it in fast enough, you can also pierce it in the wrong angle and make the ring/screw sit uncomfortably and it can be a pain. never use a gun unless it is ur ears, it might not go through all the way.
