Who can I talk to about having a career in health?
Talking to people who know you is a good idea. Your friends, family and colleagues, or ex-colleagues can generally offer support and advice. People who are doing the work you are interested in are also good to talk to and give you information about their experience of the job. The people recruiting for positions have a good amount of knowledge about what is needed for each specific role and if you are still unsure, you can talk to a career professional. Career consultants are trained to offer expert guidance and information to support your career decision-making. If you are a CMDHB employee you can contact our in-house career consultant Joanna Budai or if you are not an employee yet you can contact Career Services by calling 0800 222 733.
