Who can I send Text Messages to / receive Text Messages from?
A. As long as you are on a digital Mid-Rivers Wireless tower (not roaming), you can send text messages to nearly any other wireless subscriber that has text messaging activated on their digital phone, including the customers of other carriers. For instance, a Mid-Rivers Wireless subscriber in Baker (on the local Mid-Rivers tower) can send a text message to (or receive a text message from) another carrier’s subscriber in Billings or Helena. You can also send text messages to an e-mail address with your phone, or receive a text message on your phone from anyone with an e-mail account. Mid-Rivers also has a Web Interface at http://text.midrivers.com/ where anyone can go to send a text message from the Internet to a wireless phone’s 10-digit phone number. The web interface also offers a “Group Paging” option, where anyone can send the same text message to a group of text messaging subscribers using their 10-digit phone numbers.
