Who can i report my apartment complex too for electrical problems?
Apartment issues like this are dealt with locally–there isn’t a single governmental agency that you can report them to. My suggestion: 1. Get the request in writing. This will show that you made a good effort to inform the manager, and nothing was done. 2. Add comments in the letter about how this could be worse for them if they don’t deal with it now. It can help if you bring this to something that they will worry about–whatever is causing that outlet to malfunction could become worse. I’m not an electrician, but it seems like you could mention the possibility of an electrical fire or issues with other circuits. Don’t threaten to report them or sue them (if they do fix it, they might resent you and make like more difficult for you; most of those sorts of actions are illegal, but imagine the difference between “Oh, you paid the wrong among of rent this month, no worries, just stop by and we’ll fix it sometime this month” versus an eviction notice–this is within their rights). 3.
