Who can I call to retrieve a cat or animal from a tree, roof, etc.?
Unless your pet has been caught on the roof or in the tree longer than 24 hours, you should just wait for the pet to come down on its own. Otherwise, the fire department is able to retrieve your pet from the tree. Please keep in mind you should NEVER call 911 to have a pet removed from a tree or roof. Lookup the direct line for your local fire department and request them to come out to your location.
It is normal animal behavior to climb trees and structures. It is also normal that the animal will come down on its own, unless it is injured. If the animal appears to be injured, the Fire Department can be called to investigate the situation and determine whether the animal should be removed or allowed to come down on its own.
