Who can have access to the NAU Data Warehouse?
TOP Due to FERPA regulations, an NAU faculty or staff member can have access if and only if s/he has a need to know the information as part of an official and legitimate educational interest and in conformity with disclosure agreements. Under this principle, access to student information is based on normal job duties and the purpose and scope of the proposed use of the information. All employees requesting access to the NAU Data Warehouse are required to have training in FERPA regulations. NAU has created a FERPA online tutorial that must be completed prior to requesting access to the NAU Data Warehouse via Business Objects. The tutorial is located at www4.nau.edu/FERPA.
