Where Does This Idea Come From? The school of hard kicks, that this where is comes from. Back in 2001-2002 I began to realise two things. Firstly, the huge and complex Java based systems on which I was working just never provided what real people wanted. Secondly, nearly all business was already being performed in Excel.
