WHO CAN BECOME MEMBERS OF PAFT?
• Those with degrees of B.S., M.S. OR Ph.D. Food Technology or Food Science can be professional members. • Graduates of an allied profession such as B.S. in Chemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, Agriculture, Nutrition and others, with at least 2 years experience in teaching and/or research in Food Science and Technology, the manufacture of food products; design, fabrication and or sale of food processing equipment; marketing of chemicals, ingredients, additives and sanitizers used in the food industry and entrepreneurs of food processing operations and other agri-business activities, can apply for associate membership. An associate member can apply to be upgraded to a professional member subject to conditions set by the PAFT Board. • Professional practitioners who have made outstanding contributions in the field of food science and technology may be invited to become honorary members. • All students who are at least of junior standing in a course leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Food
