Who can attend Yorkdale Adult Learning Centre?
Students who are… • at least 21 years of age by September 1, 2010 and out of high school for at least six months – no exceptions! • able to attend a minimum of two hours every day for 45 days (a nine week quad) Monday thru Friday between 8:00 am and 3:00 am • students between 18 and 20 years of age may be eligible for our Ed-Vance Program click on the Ed-Vance Courses tab at the top of the page, or see below for more information Those new to Canada must have… • Status in Canada (one of the following): • Canadian Citizen • Permanent Resident • Refugee – only with a valid Study Permit (applications available from the office anytime) • facility in reading, writing and speaking in English Those from any Ontario high school must have… • a transcript from an Ontario high school What Do I Need to Bring for Registration? • appointment letter, pencil, pen and calulator • photo ID • citizenship document (original & photocopy) • Canadian birth certificate • Permanent Resident Card or passpo
