Who built heavenly ski resort?
Heavenly Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe was originally known as the Bijou Skyway Park. Built by Lee and Daisy Miller in 1947, the Bijou sold to Chris Kuraisa who moved the ski runs and equipment to a higher elevation, renaming the run Heavenly. Partnered with casino owners George Canon, Rudy Gersick and Curly Musso, Kuraisa built Heavenly’s ski lodge in 1955, officially opening the Heavenly Ski Resort.
