There’s no evidence banning tobacco would prevent and reduce tobacco use because no such approach has been implemented, the groups argued. The ban also could take away certain funding forthese groups for tobacco control programs.Easy to understand when you realize that the goal is not to reduce “tobacco deaths” but to continue funding for these groups. The mere thought of marauding hordes of “activists” wandering the streets in search of cash is just too frightening.
