This is just my hypothesis, humans benefit and plants benefit because the genetically modified crops can endure tougher conditions, bear large crops or more of them, and be more resistant to disease or bugs, and if they survive, they get to reproduce more and more. Humans benefit for having more food. Bugs get hurt, can’t recognize food, and other plant populations suffer, the new plant could become the dominant plant type and kill off the others around it.
