Who believes abortion is OK but have issues with me killing my dogs newborn pups ?
You’re talking to people who view dogs as pets rather than working animals/livestock. I know herding-dog breeders who routinely cull pups that don’t show the herding instinct. If no pet-home buyers are available, the pups are put down. If a pet home can be found, the pup is neutered to keep it from breeding and perpetuating this quality. These people are not psychotic or homicidal…either. I remember my mother had a large coffee-table book called “The Life, History and Magic of the Cat” – all about cats and cat care. This book was probably made in the 1970s and advised owners of queens (mother cats) to drown any unwanted kittens at birth. You can find a copy of this book and look it up for yourself, if you want. This advice wasn’t considered antisocial or excessively cruel at the time. I don’t like killing animals and don’t think I’d have the guts to kill an animal unless it was trying to attack me (my ex-rooster, for instance) but not everyone who kills animals (humanely) is torturin
