Who attends the GIIC?
GIIC participants are a very diverse mix of people who are interested in internships. Some are faculty members; a growing number are providers of internships, some are in career services or study abroad. There are deans, department chairs and even an occasional president or chancellor. We are getting more people from non-profit organizations and multinational companies. It is a collection of people whose knowledge and experience with international internships ranges from just getting started to the largest programs anywhere. Universities from the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Colombia, England, Ireland, Guatamala, Hungary, Poland, France, Korea, The Netherlands, and many other countries have participated in the past. Business and engineering fields are always well represented but fashion, law, recreation and tourism, social work, anthropology, languages, chemistry, nursing, psychology and many other fields have also been increasingly represented.
