WRAL Ranks on Best of the Triangle List for 2005 Independent Weekly published its annual Best of the Triangle list in the April 6th issue of the local publication. Readers submitted more than 1,300 ballots, expressing their opinions on the “best restaurants, businesses, destinations and distractions” in the area, and WRAL-TV made the 2005 Best of the Triangle list more than once. WRAL-TV ranked as the Best Local TV News, and the station’s personalities swept the newscasters awards. WRAL’s Tom Suiter received the most votes for Best Local Sportscaster, and WRAL’s Greg Fishel wrapped up the votes for Best Local Weather Forecaster. WRAL’s David Crabtree took the top honors as Best Local News Anchor, while WRAL’s Debra Morgan received the Honorable Mention in the category.
