Who are the top 5 current Canadian World Juniors hockey players that have impressed you the most?
1) Jordan Eberle He impressed me last time too with that last-second goal against Russia. I love how smart he is on the play. 2) Taylor Hall “Human highlight reel” 3) Alex Pietrangelo Huge improvement. He’s smart and very cool with the puck. 27 is also my favourite number. These are my top three. I can’t decide on the other two 😛 BQ: Patrice Cormier He’s the captain, but he sets a terrible example. Especially in terms of taking selfish penalties and cheap-shotting opponents. I remember watching him in the pre-tourney rounds and thinking “If this guy wasn’t wearing a Maple Leaf I would think he was a total jerk”. He just does ugly things. There are a lot of great physical players for Canada, and Cormier can do a lot of great, clean physical work, but then you’ll see him shouting at the other team, or checking a guy before going off for a change, or cross-checking someone after the play, and just hope no one thinks his play is representative of Canadian hockey.
