Who are the the Woodpeckers at Westminster-Canterbury?
A feature of life at Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay that many men (and ladies) will find attractive is the “Woodpeckers” work space. When moving to our community you need not give up your personal work space or shop – just join our Woodpeckers organization. The work shop here at Westminster-Canterbury features many, if not all, of the tools and shop equipment you may have had at your home including a bench saw, radial arm saw, lathe, 2 drill presses, a planer, a drum sander, grinders and assorted power hand tools. There are workbenches for individual projects and opportunities to use your skills to help repair resident’s furnishings like lamps, tables and electronic equipment. Our shop is equipped with items that incoming residents have brought with them when they moved into Westminster-Canterbury.
