Who are the Student Ambassadors / Student Mentors?
Student Ambassadors / Student Mentors are current university students at the university where the UniTaster is held. They are all trained to work both on UniTasters and other work with school and college students. Some will have been doing this type of work for a year or even two. They are interviewed, trained, and CRB checked. Some of them will have received First Aid training as well. Many of them have prior first-hand experience of mentoring. All the Ambassadors / Mentors have excellent interpersonal skills and are picked for their ability to contribute to a team, each bringing different skills and personality. Every year they are the most vital ingredient in the UniTasters and they are always rated by the young people as the best thing about the experience and the best source of information about studying and being a student.
