Who are the smartest people (race/ethnicity/whatever), when talking in terms of overall IQ points?
Technically the Ashkenazi (Europeans) Jews score highest with an average IQ over 111 (sometimes the average is estimated as high as 116). Next on a lost are the Koreans and Japanese who get about 107-105. Here’s a blog post with the info simply arranged, with a coloured map of the world. http://iontheworld.wordpress.com/2008/07… And just in case anyone is about to rant on about IQ tests not meaning anything/being biased etc etc… that is NOT the consensus opinion among the bulk of psychology phd’s, who wrote in en masse to the NY Times with a signed letter to the effect that racial differences in IQ are no longer in question (only the why is under debate now, not the if) and that IQ tests aren’t culturally biased and they are actually a very good indicator of your general level of intelligence.
