Who are the PVBIA Mentors?
PVBIA Mentors are teachers and therapists recommended in the DC Metro area by POAC-NoVA members. Mentors will be paid by POAC-NoVA to train therapists. Please note that mentors are not available for any other purposes. They are helping us train therapists, and will not be working directly with your child. • What do I do if I have a problem with a therapist? POAC-NoVA is not supervising therapists, and cannot resolve any disputes. While we welcome feedback on therapists and on the program, the relationship between you and the therapists is, again, between you and the therapists. When considering your expectations of this program, please take into account the relative inexperience of trainees. • Why are my contacts with the PVBIA administrator limited? All of the POAC-NoVA members working on the PVBIA project are volunteers and have children with autism. We all have full-time jobs, and we all have other POAC-NoVA duties.
