Who are the Philadelphia Eagles?
The team was founded in 1933. They were originally called “The Frankfurt Yellow Jackets”, but then changed their name to the Philadelphia Eagles. They played their first game on October 15, 1933. In 1943, the Philadelphia Eagles combined with the Pittsburg Steelers to be called the Steagels. This name only lasted for one year. When the National Football League and the American Football League merged, the Eagles became a member of the Eastern Conference. To the fans, the Philadelphia Eagles are not only a team but also a part of the city.
