Involvement in policy debates by the National Park Authorities is now made at the country level. ENPAA has therefore been established for England and WANPA (Welsh Association of National Park Authorities) has been established for Wales. Scotland does not have a similar body at this time. The UK Association of National Park Authorities (UK ANPA) – whose role previously included external advocacy with decision makers – now focuses on promoting all fourteen National Parks across the UK as beacons for sustainable development.
