Who are the numa numa?
Their names are Dan Balan, Arsenie Todiras, and Radu Sirbu… members of the former Moldovan group O-Zone. Spellings of the names vary slightly due to the nature of their native language. These days, you can find them under different headings… Dan is also known as Crazy Loop, Arsenie has taken the stage name Arsenium, and Radu has formed a new band called Mr. & Ms. with his wife, Ana. Don’t worry, Dan and Arsenie are still available… and all three are still quite handsome. Unfortunately, O-Zone broke up nearly four years ago, in early January of 2005, shortly after their peak of success with “Dragostea din tei”, the Numa Numa song. Dan wanted to form a rock band, Radu had gotten married, and Arsenie, the youngest member, was left wishing for more. Sadly, attempts to reform the band have not been successful… each of the trio choosing to do his own separate projects instead.
