Who are the M and M Wellbeing Buddies and what do they do?

0

M and M Peer Mentoring, UCLan Counselling Service and the charity organisation ‘Rethink’ work in partnership to deliver this programme. The volunteer Wellbeing Buddies are existing UCLan students who have been specifically trained to help those students who may be struggling to cope with their mental and emotional wellbeing. Wellbeing Buddies are also supported by the Counselling Service and are expected to attend group counselling consultation on a fortnightly basis for guidance and support. This programme has a very robust structure, due to the nature of the mentoring on offer and to safeguard both Wellbeing Buddies and Wellbeing Mentees.
