Who are the M and M Peer Mentors and what do they do?
The volunteer Peer Mentors are existing UCLan students who are based at the Preston and Burnley campus’ that have been trained to listen, offer advice and signpost students to appropriate services when necessary. They volunteer their time to help other students settle into University life, make friends, deal with personal issues, help them with general academic queries., time management strategies and so much more! Peer Mentors meet their Mentees on campus once a week / once a fortnight for approximately 1 hour. Peer Mentors are expected to complete short reflection logs after each meeting.
