Award-winning architect and founder John Matthews leads a talented staff of architects and CADD draftsmen. Matthews earned his architecture degree from the University of Arizona in 1982 and has a broad range of experience in commercial and residential architecture, including and eight-year tenure as Vice President of Architecture for M.D.C. Holdings in Denver, where he designed all of the product for the Richmond Homes division. During this time and since he began Matthews & Associates P.C. in 1993, he has received numerous national and regional design awards, has served on the housing committee for the American Institute of Architects and has had his architecture featured in publications including Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, Western Architecture, and Sources and Design.
